Veterans for Peace Tacoma Chapter 134 is proud to present Arlington Memorial Northwest, a tribute to all our troops who have been lost in Iraq, and to those serving overseas in conflicts. We invite service members, their families and friends to join us in honoring them. This is a non-partisan memorial designed to raise public awareness of the costs of war and occupation. No other signs will be displayed on the area.
The memorial consists of small crosses and headstones, one for each of those who has died during our war in Iraq, and all arrayed as they would be at Arlington National Cemetery. This is a nonpartisan memorial, designed to raise public awareness of the costs of the war in Iraq. It is setup and maintained by members of the Evergreen Peace and Justice Community and the local Veterans for Peace chapter.
