This preliminary forum, "Engage," will feature training by Climate Solutions and a brainstorming session to prepare for a "Focus the Nation" (http://www.focusthenation.org/) event in Tacoma on January 31st.  Climate Solutions, a non-profit organization based in Olympia, was formed by the 1998 merger of Atmosphere Alliance with the Energy Outreach Center.

J.P. Kemmick, a recent graduate of PLU and a climate-change activist, is organizing Tacoma's "Focus the Nation" event.  It will feature a panel of elected officials responding to questions from citizens about what they can do to lead us towards climate-change solutions.  Details TBA.  If interested in helping, contact Sol Riou (sparkingwaves@hotmail.com) or J.P. Kemmick (jpkemmick@gmail.com).  Sustainable Tacoma Pierce (formerly Puget Sound Climate Issues) is sponsoring this event which is part of S.T.E.P.S. (Sustainable Tacoma Environmental Project Series) (http://www.freewebs.com/savegaia/).
