Honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., share the dream of a world without war -- resist nuclear weapons, the occupation of Iraq, and the bombing of Iran -- in Ground Zero Center's annual direct action at the Trident Submarine Base in Bangor.
Join the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action for a traditional vigil and direct action at the gates of Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor.
8:30 am, participants will meet at the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4418 Perry Rd, Bremerton, for nonviolence training and action planning.1:30 pm, participants will gather at Ground Zero, 16159 Clear Creek Rd. NW, Poulsbo, to walk or drive together to the vigil at the Bangor gates. Not all participants will be involved in the direct action, but those direct actionists will be grateful for the moral support of many participants on the sidewalk with signs. Last year, there were more 200 participants.
