Augustin Aguayo is a conscientious objector.

Aguayo is an Army combat medic and conscientious objector who was deployed to Iraq, despite applying for a discharge.  Despite being assigned to combat patrol duties, he refused to load his weapon.  In 2006, he was ordered to re-deploy to Iraq and refused.  He was charged with desertion and missing movement in March 2007.  He was sentenced to eight months in the brig, but was released in April.  Join us as he talks about his experience in Iraq and his decision to resist redeployment.  Sponsored by People for Peace, Justice & Healing and the South Sound Peace & Justice Center.  Get more information about Augustin Aguayo at http://www.aguayodefense.org/.
