Although this event takes place in Seattle, the Tacoma Puppetistas and the Backbone Campaign are working together to have a strong South Sound presence at this event.
The Tacoma Puppetistas have been working with Bill Moyers of the Backbone Campaign to create a strong South Sound presence at the march in Seattle. We have some strong drummers among our ranks, and we are planning to keep the energy up with our rhythms. If you are planning to attend this event, any instruments you could bring along would be helpful. We would like to have lots of drums, tambourines, shakers, claves, and anything else percussive so that we can shake, rattle, and roll our way through the streets of Seattle.
We will also have a 'South Sound War Resisters' banner to carry, and help would be appreciated with assembling and carrying puppets and props in the march. If you are interested, you will be able to find us gathered at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday morning. Look for the folks with the dark blue "South Sound" banner, and let us know that you're interested. Also, feel free to send me an e mail with any thoughts or questions. We have some impressive back pack puppets we'd like to have in the march, but I'm not sure we have enough help to carry them. If you would be interested in trying your hand as a puppeteer, let me know and I'll arrange a practice session for you to try it out.

Take the bus to End the War Now Rally and March in Seattle:
Leave from: Tacoma Dome Station: Bus #594: 9:51 A.M., get off bus @ 4th. & Cherry, (several blocks beyond 4th. & Jackson). This will be 2-3 minutes later than the 10:36 scheduled time of arrival @ 4th. & Jackson. Walk 1 block south from Cherry to 4th & James, take the Metro #4 to Judkins Park & Playground(2150 S. Norman St.); this bus leaves 4th & James @ 10: 53, going east, up the hill.
For later connections: the Pierce Transit #594 leaves at 21 and 51 after the hour. Metro #4 leaves 4th & James at 22 and 53 after the hour.
Coming back in the afternoon, the # 4 bus leaves about every 15 minutes. Fee for #594 bus is $3.00; get a transfer and it will cover the Metro #4 trip in the morning. Return: from: 2nd. Ave. & So. Washington (Seattle), north of 2nd. and Jackson: Bus #594 from 11 and 41 minutes after the hour and arriving at the Tacoma Dome Station @ 58 and 28 minutes after the hour respectively in the afternoon.
