Gerri Haynes recently helped organize, and was part of, a delegation of eight who visited Syrian citizens and Iraqi refugees in Syria.
Gerri Haynes, a past president of Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility, has made annual trips to the Middle East since 1993. She recently helped organize and was part of a delegation of eight who visited Syrian citizens and Iraqi refugees in Syria.
"Since 1993 I helped organize the first Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility trip to Israel/Palestine, I have traveled at least once (some times multiple times) each year to this region.... Most recently I helped to organize a delegation of eight under the auspices of UNA-Seattle -- we visited Syrian citizens and Iraqi refugees in Damascus, Saydnaya, and Aleppo, Syria."
Gerri Haynes is a Palliative Care Consultant and Grief and Bereavement Educator, board member and past president of the Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility and board member of UNA-Seattle. She is also Past National Board member of The Peace Alliance Foundation; and was chairperson for the 2006 Veterans for Peace National Convention.
