Chris Metzler and Jeff Springer's new feature length documentary, "Plagues and Pleasures on the Salton Sea", makes its theatrical premiere in Tacoma.
Director Jeff Springer will be in attendance to do post-screening Q&A.
The film tells the story of the Salton Sea - once known as the "California Riviera", it is now called one of America?s worst ecological disasters. The film covers the historical, economic, political, and environmental issues that face the Sea, and offers up an offbeat portrait of the eccentric and individualistic people who populate its shore.
