Join others with an interest in the environment, conservation and sustainability for our monthly social gathering! This month's host is the Crown Bar, a supporter of local small farmers and organic producers. They also contribute their fryer oil for biodiesel production. Check out their story and see the menu at www.crownbartacoma.org.
The Crown's Happy Hour runs from 5:00-6:30 pm which only just overlaps with our regular Green Drinks time. Feel free to go early (they open at 5:00), enjoy the Happy Hour prices ($1.50 PBRs, $6 appetizers), and then give a hearty hail to the rest of us who arrive later.
Anyone who would like to help coordinate a future alcohol-free Green Drinks to precede our regular Green Drinks time, please feel free to contact me at earthoutreach@yahoo.com. You can read about Teen Green gatherings in other communities at www.greendrinks.org. Clearly, with students at UPS, PLU, and UW-T campuses as well as high schoolers interested in the future of the planet, this could be a way to help bring young adults in our community together around this common interest.
