Every first Saturday of the month, people of good will take turns asking for which song to sing next. Click to read more...

Held every month on the first Saturday of the month, a non-affiliated group of folks gather in a circle to sing together.  When it's your turn, you ask for what we'll all chime in on.  Extra copies of "Rise Up Singing," a 2000+ collection of songs are usually available; or bring your own lyrics sheets to share, or teach us a new one line-by-line.  All ages welcome, instruments welcome (but may occasionally be requested to opt out on particular songs), even non-singers welcome!  This is singing for FUN; no need to be a performer.  Meeting since 1983, this group sprang up amongst the folkdance and peacemaking communities of Tacoma.  Renew your spirit & values & windpipes with a rousing evening of song.  For more information, call Laura Karlin at 253) 640-5706.
